Zhongshan Culture and Art Center
Located in Zhongshan, the hometown of Dr Sun Yat-sen, the Zhongshan Culture and Art Center operates under the Zhongshan Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau, and officially opened in November 2005. The centre has been ranked among the ‘Top Ten Best Performance Venues’ in Guangdong and awarded as a trustworthy performing arts agency by the China Association of Performing Arts.
As Zhongshan’s cultural landmark, the centre adheres to the principles of elegance, modernity, and accessibility, striving to present high-quality and diverse cultural and arts programmes from both the Mainland and abroad to the citizens of Zhongshan and the Greater Bay Area. The centre comprises a 1312-seat grand theatre, a 636-seat multi-functional black box theatre, and an exhibition space. Equipped with advanced stage, sound, and lighting systems, the grand theatre can accommodate a wide range of performances including symphonies, ballet, musicals, opera, and theatre.
